Meet Dr. Marleny Soriano

Marriage & Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor

Hola, soy Marleny, and if I'm being honest, I used to struggle with anger, my relationships, and feelings behind. The anger I felt wasn't really about the people closest to me; it was anxiety, guilt, and exhaustion with nowhere else to go. I was scared of failing myself and my parents, who had made so many sacrifices to give me this life. That's when I chose to invest in understanding myself. I was worried that therapy would be just talking,  blaming others, or blaming my trauma for my issues. But I wanted more. I wanted to learn about why and understand my feelings, trauma, and the root cause of the issues.

When I discovered how to authentically express my emotions and process negative self-beliefs and trauma without being a victim, blaming others, or using my trauma as an excuse, everything changed. I don’t struggle with those things. The fear of failing or being behind does not stop me from living, and I can genuinely connect with my loved ones, embrace when things don't go as planned, and live in the moment. Using EMDR and emotion-focused techniques, I offer you the same guidance to help you reach the life you have worked hard for.

After discovering the power of emotional alignment and processing trauma, I have devoted my career as a therapist and a clinical supervisor to helping Latine children of immigrants live the life they have built con todo y el miedo. I do this by sharing feedback and insight about the deep-rooted issues or patterns you don’t see, helping you process your trauma, and finding ways to make simple changes in your day-to-day life and relationships.

I am humbled to have been trusted to help so many Latine children of immigrants achieve personal and professional fulfillment. If you're ready to transform your life y cosechar lo que has sembrado, schedule a free consultation. I’d be honored to walk this path with you.
